Rachael fell in love with musicals as a child watching Doris Day films with her Grandma. Her early years saw her learn to play piano, and, eventually, saw her complete Grade 8.
Rachael has been a loyal and passionate member of a number of local amateur dramatics groups in and around Southend, her home town. She has taken roles in a number of shows, including: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Sister Act, Godspell, Hello Dolly, Bonnie and Clyde and Little Shop of Horrors amongst many others. Performing in local theatre has become a real passion for Rachael, and one that has also allowed her to use her music skills on creative teams for various productions. Most recently, Rachael has been Assistant MD for productions of Kiss Me Kate and Peter Pan.
Joining the MTI licensing team in 2022 really was a dream come true for Rachael, who loves getting to work, and interact with, fellow musical ltheatre overs from across the UK and Europe. Seeing theatre is incredibly important to Rachael, and she loves to see the array of talent that exists in amateur theatre throughout the country.
Rachael is a particular fan of the works of: Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Alan Menken, Frank Wildhorn, Pasek and Paul and Paul Gordon. Her favourite show is Les Misérables, which is now just down the road from her workplace!
