Save the Drama for Your StageMama

One of the most exciting things about living in the digital age is that you never know who you're going to run into when traveling the information superhighway. Sometimes you do your best to avoid an accident, but other times you make meaningful connections with your fellow riders and end up in a carpool.
Fortunately for us at Music Theatre International, we're constantly finding new and engaging "theatre people" with unique points of view through blogs, message boards and other social media like Facebook and MTI ShowSpace. So when MTI does make a valuable connection out in cyberspace that might help you put on your next show, we are delighted to share. Last week, we introduced you to a new contributor whose expertise lies behind-the-scenes as a wardrobe dresser. And today...
...it's our pleasure to introduce you all to a wonderful theatre journalist, Julie Nemitz - the creator and Editor-in-Chief of the entertainment blog, StageMama.com. Julie has a passion for all things show biz and pop culture and has a near Encyclopedic knowledge of all things theatre. Julie's career has run the gamut from child actress through stints in regional theatre and summer stock, bus and truck live theatre and concert productions, to children's youth theatre director and educator, and back-up singer for an award-winning chanteuse.
Julie brings all of this experience, (and the lessons learned from her most important role as a "mom") to StageMama.com. StageMama.com is dedicated to celebrating theatre, television, film and music as well as offering perspectives on parenting in the age of American Idol, Glee, America's Got Talent, et al - all from a mom's point of view.
We're thrilled that Julie will be writing articles on The Marquee created especially with our MTI audience in mind. Be on the lookout for these exclusive pieces in the coming weeks! To kick things off, we're sharing a link to a recent article Julie posted on StageMama.com about our partnership and her experiences covering the inaugural Freddie G. Theatre Experience a few weeks ago in New York City:
